The State Relay Championships are a great team competition in which U9-U17 athletes compete as a team in various track relays (4 x 100m, 4 x 200m and Medley) and field relays (consisting of Long Jump, High Jump, Discus and Shot Put). U8 athletes run a 4x100m Shuttle event and there is also a Mum and Dad’s 4x100m relay race so parents, dust off those runners and start training!! This event displays excellent team and centre spirit, and demonstrates the importance of team camaraderie between athletes. Medals are presented for the top three placed teams in each event, in each age group.

We hope that you can appreciate the work that goes into creating the relay teams and we try and ensure that all athletes who nominate are given the opportunity to compete in an event, you may find that your child has been placed into a field team, a medley or an age group above. If you have any questions about the teams please speak to our Head Coach Andy.

Participation is by selection in a relay team. Athletes must advise their availability for selection by returning the Relay Nomination Form or registering online by completing the online form by Home Meet #6. Teams will be announced late November. We ask you read our Relay Team Selection Policy before registering your interest.
