The metre square rubber mat (black/yellow) is used for the U6-U10 athletes. The jump is measured from the front of the athlete’s footprint on the mat. The white take off board is used for the U11-U17 athletes. The jump is measured from the edge of the board closest to the pit. Measurement is made to the nearest mark made in the sand by any part of the athlete’s body (to the nearest cm below). The athlete must not leave the pit closer to the take off point than the marks made on landing.
