President
Role purpose
Lead the Centre Committee and help create a welcoming, safe and successful season for all athletes, families and volunteers.

What you’ll do:
- Chair committee meetings and help the committee make good decisions.
- Support and encourage committee members in their roles.
- Represent the Centre with South Australian Little Athletics Association, Council and community partners.
- Help set goals and plan for future seasons.
- Ensure the Centre is well run and meets its legal and financial responsibilities.
Secretary
Role purpose
Keep the Centre organised by managing committee records, meetings and communication.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are organised and reliable.
- Enjoy planning and keeping records.
- Communicate clearly in writing and in person.
- Can handle confidential information responsibly.
- Like helping others stay on track.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes.
- Keep committee records and important documents up to date.
- Manage general emails and correspondence.
- Help the committee meet key dates and reporting requirements.
- Support the President with administration throughout the season.
Vice President
Role purpose
Support the President and help lead the Centre. Step into the President’s role when needed and help the Committee achieve its goals.
You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Are confident leading meetings when needed.
- Communicate clearly and listen to different views.
- Are organised and reliable.
- Want to help the Centre grow and improve.
What you’ll do:
- Support the President in leading the Centre.
- Chair meetings when the President is unavailable.
- Represent the Centre at meetings and events when required.
- Help the Committee plan and achieve its goals.
- Take on other leadership tasks as agreed by the Committee.
Treasurer
Role purpose
Manage the Centre’s finances and help ensure money is used wisely and responsibly.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are organised and pay attention to detail.
- Are comfortable working with numbers.
- Are honest and trustworthy.
- Can use basic computer programs.
- Communicate clearly with the Committee.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the Centre’s income, expenses and bank accounts.
- Prepare regular financial reports for the Committee.
- Help develop and monitor the annual budget.
- Pay accounts and keep accurate financial records.
- Support the annual audit and financial reporting.
Registrar
Role purpose
Manage athlete registrations and keep member information accurate throughout the season.
You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Enjoy helping families.
- Are comfortable using computers.
- Communicate clearly with people.
- Can manage personal information responsibly.
What you’ll do:
- Process athlete registrations.
- Maintain accurate member records.
- Prepare and distribute registration packs.
- Update membership details during the season.
- Work with the Association on registration requirements.
Officer for Coaching & Education
Role purpose
Support coaches and help athletes develop their skills through quality coaching opportunities.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy coaching or mentoring young athletes.
- Understand athletics events and rules.
- Communicate well with children and adults.
- Are organised and enthusiastic.
- Like helping others learn.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate the Centre’s coaching program.
- Organise regular coaching sessions.
- Promote coaching courses and development opportunities.
- Support and encourage Centre coaches.
- Coordinate relay team planning and selection.
Recorder
Role purpose
Keep accurate athlete results and records throughout the season.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are organised and accurate.
- Enjoy working with data.
- Are confident using a computer.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Can meet deadlines.
What you’ll do:
- Record results from each competition.
- Publish weekly results and reports.
- Maintain Centre records and best performances.
- Prepare information for awards and trophies.
- Ensure results are accurate and up to date.
Officer for Track & Field
Role purpose
Plan and coordinate weekly competition events so they run safely and smoothly.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are organised and good at planning.
- Understand athletics events and rules.
- Communicate well with volunteers.
- Stay calm when plans change.
- Enjoy coordinating activities.
What you’ll do:
- Plan the weekly competition program.
- Coordinate events on competition days.
- Adjust programs when weather or other issues arise.
- Work with the Equipment Officer to ensure everything is ready.
- Help competitions run safely and on time.
Grounds, Technical & Equipment Officer
Role purpose
Maintain the Centre’s grounds and equipment so competitions can be run safely.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work.
- Are organised and reliable.
- Take pride in keeping equipment in good condition.
- Communicate well with others.
- Can identify safety issues.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare the grounds before competitions.
- Maintain and store Centre equipment.
- Organise repairs and replacement equipment.
- Monitor the safety of facilities and equipment.
- Liaise with Council and the Track & Field Officer when needed.
First Aid Officer
Role purpose
Provide first aid support and help keep athletes and volunteers safe.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Hold a current First Aid qualification.
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Care about the wellbeing of others.
- Are organised.
- Communicate clearly.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain a fully stocked First Aid kit.
- Provide first aid when required.
- Record injuries and treatment provided.
- Monitor first aid supplies throughout the season.
- Help promote a safe environment at Centre activities.
Sponsorship & Fundraising Officer
Role purpose
Build community support and raise funds to help the Centre provide great opportunities for athletes.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy talking with people.
- Are organised and creative.
- Like planning events.
- Build positive relationships.
- Can manage several tasks at once.
What you’ll do:
- Seek sponsorships and grant opportunities.
- Organise fundraising activities.
- Help plan social events for members.
- Welcome sponsors and guests at Centre events.
- Work with the Committee to support the Centre’s financial goals.
Canteen Manager
Role purpose
Manage the canteen so members and visitors can enjoy affordable food and drinks during Centre activities.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are organised and reliable.
- Enjoy working with people.
- Can manage a simple budget.
- Understand basic food safety.
- Work well with volunteers.
What you’ll do:
- Organise and operate the canteen on competition days.
- Recruit and coordinate canteen volunteers.
- Purchase and manage stock.
- Keep accurate records of sales and expenses.
- Provide canteen income to the Treasurer.
