2020/2021 STATE INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to all 44 athletes who competed at the State Individual Championships at the SA Athletics Stadium over the weekend of Sat 20th and Sunday 21st March. It was great to see so many GGLAC athletes out on the track giving their best. Our athletes achieved an astonishing 106 Personal Bests, and nine new Centre Best Performances. Several athletes achieved a personal best in every event that they competed in.
As a club we achieved a total of 46 state medals which was the second highest of all competing clubs. Overall, we finished 7th on the medal tally with 12 gold, 21 silver and 13 bronze. Three of our U13 athletes were selected to represent SA in the 2021 Australian Little Athletics Championships as a results of outstanding results at the SIC.
Congratulations to all competing GGLAC athletes for their amazing achievements and a huge thankyou to all the parents, coaches and committee members for volunteering and supporting the athletes on the day.

STATE TEAM REPRESENTATION AT THE 2020 AUSTRALIAN LITTLE ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Board of Little Athletics Australia made the decision to cancel the 2021 Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) as a result of the evolving situation in relation to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This decision was made as a result of the Government’s state of emergency advice regarding non-essential mass gatherings. The team were due to train and travel together to the ALACS in Melbourne.
