Home Meet #19
21 March @ 8:45 am - 11:00 am
AGM and presentation next week Sat 28th March
Are you able to spare a few hours a week? The club relies on the generous support of volunteers to keep it running. There are many opportunities both committee and non-committee available. If you are able to help out next season the committee would love to hear from you. Please come and speak to one of us or fill out the expression of interest form and email it to us at GGR@salaa.org.au.
Welcome to our final home meet for the season. This week will be a more informal session with an opportunity for parents to join in. We will also have our coaches available to assist children who are transitioning to new events next season. This includes our;
- Tiny Tots moving into U6’s
- U7’s who will begin high jump in U8’s
- U10’s who change mats on long jump, start triple jump and javelin, and have the opportunity to flop on high jump in U11’s
- U12’s who will participate in distance hurdles in U13’s
Age group roster
We do not have groups rostered on for this week so if you are able to help out with set up and the BBQ it would be appreciated.
We hope you have enjoyed your season with GGLAC and we look forward to celebrating the season at our end of season presentation next week.
For those of you who want to continue over the winter season there are opportunities with Cross Country Championships, Race Walking Championships. There is also the opportunity to further develop athletes skills in all track and field events at the SA athletics academy. These coaching and training sessions are delivered by highly skilled and experienced coaches at the SA Athletics Stadium.
