The Health Partners State Relay Championships is for registered athletes in the Under 9 to Under 17 age groups.

To be considered for nomination to a relay team (track or field) athletes must return the Relay Championships Nomination Form that was included in your (yellow) membership bag, by Home Meet #9 on Saturday 9 December.

Please read the nomination form carefully and if you have any questions please speak to a committee member.

Training sessions are held:

MONDAY – 4.30pm to 5.30pm and THURSDAY – 4.45pm to 5.45pm

Our last training session for the year will be on Thursday 14 December. Training sessions will return early January and we will update the website and facebook with details early in the new year.

These will be general training sessions for all age groups, consisting of a warm up, event specific training (to be decided depending on numbers) and cool down. The Training page has the Hot Weather Policy in the event of hot weather.

We remind parents that you need to remain at Tilley Reserve whilst your child trains, plus sometimes we might need your help with the activities.

We hope to see you there.

We have some good news for our members. We are pleased to announce that after many years negotiating with TTG Council we have now received approval to install 4 concrete Shot Put rings and 1 Discus ring at Tilley Reserve. We are now in contact with our contractors to install these rings. Given the proximity to Christmas we are hopeful they will be ready for use at the beginning of 2018. These rings will be funded from the Club’s savings which we have been accumulating for projects like this.

Season Member registered for the season – please collect your membership pack on arrival, if not already done so, and then head to your age group basket to tick your name on the results sheet in the chaperone’s folder.

Come and Try participants that have already registered online – We ask that you head to the come and try area where we will mark you off and put everyone in groups, or if you prefer, you are welcome to join your age group and join them for the program. Otherwise you will have a coach or committee member as your chaperone to take you around and explain how little athletics works and answer any questions you may have.

If you HAVEN’T registered online for either Come and Try or as a member prior to arriving you will need to head to the registration portal to complete your registration online at the laptop we will have there. As we will have limited laptops for this and the process can take a little while, you may be delayed and miss the start of the program whilst completing your registration. We are seeking your co-operation to register beforehand to avoid any delays on the day.

We would like to remind everyone that an adult MUST REMAIN AT TILLEY RESERVE during the competition, we refer to our Parent Participation Policy. Ideally you be able help out in the age group with the running of the events by retrieving the shot/discus, spiking, raking sand for long/triple jump or returning the bar at high jump. By being involved you are able to support and cheer your child as the participate.

There will NOT be a meet on Saturday morning at Tilley Reserve this week.
