2018 EFM STATE RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

EFM STATE RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

SUNDAY 2 DECEMBER

SA ATHLETICS STADIUM

This season’s State Relay Championships were again a success for GGLAC with our athletes winning 11 Gold, 3 Silver, 2 Bronze as well as setting 4 Centre Best Performances and 2 State Best Performances as well as many of our field athletes setting new Personal Bests in their event. It also needs to be mentioned that GGLAC were the only centre to set new State Best Performances! Congratulations everyone.

We need to acknowledge to massive effort of Jodie, Grahame and Paul for putting the teams together, following up parents and finding late substitutions to make sure we had as many teams and athletes competing as possible. We had over 80 athletes competing in 40 teams, 6 more teams than last season.

Thanks need to go to our coaches Grahame, Scott and the two Pauls for holding training sessions and then on the day motivating, warming up the athletes and marshalling them on time. We can not thank you enough.

The positive and encouraging efforts of our parents needs to also be acknowledged, it definitely helped the athletes with their nerves and confidence.

Finally, thanks to all our athletes that competed, no matter what your result, remember you did your best, the Club proud and we hope you all enjoyed the experience.

GGLAC placed 4th on the Pam Sard Champion Centre Table with 133 points and 4th on the Lou Moyes Most Improved.
